[ RIPPLE OF PERCEPTION ] ROOS LABS

One truth exists. People orbit it at distances determined by their unresolved material.

Every perception feels like observation. It isn't. It's a reading taken from a specific distance, through a specific atmosphere.

01THE TRUTH

The truth doesn't move.

It doesn't soften for you. It doesn't harden against you. It simply is. The people standing around it are at different removes, and those removes aren't random. They're load-bearing.

02THE DISTANCE

Distance is proportional to cost.

The distance a person keeps from a truth is almost always proportional to how much that truth would cost them to accept. Proximity isn't a matter of intelligence. It's a matter of what someone is willing to pay.

03UNRESOLVED MATERIAL

Grief that became a personality.

Unresolved material is the technical term for that cost. It's the betrayal that became a worldview. The thing that happened that was never named, processed, or released — so it calcified into a lens instead. Everyone has it. Most people don't know they're looking through it.

04TWO HONEST PEOPLE

Neither is lying. Both are reporting accurately.

This is why two honest people can witness the same event and produce irreconcilable accounts. They're reporting accurately — from exactly where they're standing. Which is not the same thing as seeing clearly. The problem isn't honesty. The problem is distance.

05MOVEMENT

Distance isn't fixed.

People move closer to truth when they resolve what's between them and it. They move further when unresolved material accumulates, or when proximity becomes threatening enough that retreat feels like survival.

06LIMITS OF ARGUMENT

You cannot argue someone into a closer orbit.

You can only create conditions where the distance becomes more expensive than the approach. Sometimes that works. Often it doesn't. People will defend their distance with enormous sophistication, because the alternative is confronting whatever put them there.

07THE HARD PART

Recognizing your own orbit.

The truth you're closest to isn't necessarily the one you're seeing most clearly. It might just be the one your particular unresolved material has aimed you at.

THE FRAMEWORK

There is a map for this.

The Ripple of Perception Framework is a structured tool for understanding how a single interaction creates entirely different realities for the people involved — and how awareness of that gap is where transformation becomes possible. It includes guided reflection, a step-by-step model, and an AI-assisted journaling system.
