What this framework is — and what it isn't.
About this framework
The Ripple of Perception Framework is a model for thinking about how interactions, interpretations, and narratives form and mutate between people. It's built from reading and lived experience — not from clinical training — and it is not a clinical protocol, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional mental-health care.
What it's for
Reflection. Self-understanding. Language for what happens inside and between people during conflict or emotional exchange. It can sit alongside therapy, coaching, recovery work, or relationship work. It's not meant to replace any of them.
What it isn't
- Not therapy.
- Not a diagnosis or clinical assessment.
- Not crisis care.
- Not medical, legal, or financial advice.
If you're in crisis
If you're thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or if you feel unsafe, please reach out to a real human who can help right now:
United States: Call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Available 24/7.
Outside the US: findahelpline.com lists crisis lines by country.
Emergency: Call 911 (US) or your local emergency number.
This framework will still be here when you're safe.
Therapists and other professionals
Clinicians and other practitioners are welcome to use the framework with clients if it fits their work — as a shared vocabulary, not a treatment modality. It wasn't derived from a clinical training program and isn't meant to substitute for your own judgment. How it gets adapted to any client's care is the practitioner's responsibility.
Content accuracy
Research citations and statistics are included where relevant, but the framework itself is a model — a useful-but-incomplete map, not a scientific consensus. Treat it as a lens, not the truth. Specific numbers, studies, and examples are included to illustrate patterns, not to establish clinical fact.
No warranty, no relationship
The framework and this site are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Using the site does not create a therapeutic, professional, fiduciary, or advisory relationship with Roos Labs or Gary Roos.
